Over 160 exhibitors and sponsors provided a huge range of interactive stands and have-a-go opportunities, grouped together in nine industry zones - Creative Community, City Centre, Campus, Healthy Living, Design & Construction, Maritime Gateway, Hospitality and Tourism Island, Techno Zone and Green Quarter.

sadly the appalling July 7 terrorist bombing attacks on London's transport
system prevented many of them from making the journey. Nevertheless more
than 26,000 young people visited SkillCity 2005, despite all the difficulties.
We are particularly grateful for the personal support that we received from
HRH The Prince of Wales, from Phil Hope MP, Minister for Skills from the
Department for Education and Skills, and from Stephen Timms, MP for East
Ham and Minister of State at the Department for Work and Pensions.
